SUMMARY:Speak Up\, Innovate\, Succeed: Strategies for Psychological Safety
DESCRIPTION:Employees face stress from multiple sources—personal responsibilities\, workplace demands\, and societal unease—often with one area affecting the others. While organizations can’t eliminate these challenges\, they can create workplaces where employees feel supported\, valued\, and empowered. A psychologically safe environment fosters open communication\, trust\, and a sense of belonging\, allowing employees to share ideas\, take risks\, and grow—ultimately driving engagement\, collaboration\, and innovation. \nWhen employees trust that they can speak up\, admit mistakes\, and drive innovation without fear of retaliation or embarrassment\, teams become more collaborative\, resilient\, and high performing. \nIn this TDM Library webinar\, Gana Diagne\, Chief Knowledge Officer of Workplace Options and co-author of the WPO Psychological Safety study\, will break down the “how tos” of psychological safety and provide strategies for leaders and teams to cultivate it in their daily interactions. Whether you are managing a team of 5 or 500\, you will leave with practical tools to foster open communication\, build trust\, and create a workplace where every employee is productive and engaged. \nPlease note: we are opening up this TDM Library webinar for anyone to attend. \nAbout the Facilitator\nGana Diagne\, Chief Knowledge Officer\, Workplace Options\nIn this role\, Gana is responsible for overseeing Workplace Options’ data management and utilization analysis and forecasting future trends of IT applications. Prior to his current role\, Gana was Vice President of Information Solutions and Development for WPO and Head of Reporting at Rehalto. Gana holds a Master’s in applied mathematics\, statistics\, and data analysis from the University of Versailles and the National Institute of Telecommunications\, France. He also earned his Master’s in business administration from the Sorbonne Business School in Paris. \nGana is also the co-author of the Workplace Options’ Psychological Safety Study. The study provides deep insight into the workplace concerns that employees face across 9 countries. Leaders can use this insight to create\, guide\, and champion culture-based initiatives and programs to reduce workplace stress and build enhanced employee engagement and psychologically safe workplaces. Unlike most workplace studies (derived from surveys or opinion)\, the Workplace Options study is built on conversations between employees and clinicians\, providing insights into concerns reflected in employee emotions\, cognitions\, and attitudes toward work.
