Psychological Safety Foundations: Empowering Every Employee

Industry: Role: Prerequisites: No

This workplace-wide program provides all employees—frontline staff and individual contributors—with the knowledge and skills to actively foster psychological safety. By building awareness of inclusive behaviors, effective communication, and peer-to-peer support, employees learn how to contribute to a culture where speaking up, sharing ideas, and addressing concerns feels safe and encouraged.

Why It Matters

A high-performing workplace requires participation at every level. This program helps employees:

  • Understand their role in fostering psychological safety within teams.

  • Give feedback effectively, including to managers, ensuring their voices are heard and acted upon.

  • Build trust through open communication, respectful collaboration, and peer support.

Key Program Components

  1. Assessments – Employees complete a psychological safety self-reflection survey to gauge their comfort with speaking up, providing feedback, and addressing workplace challenges.
  2. Training & Interactive Learning – Engaging microlearning and workshops include lessons on giving and receiving feedback, conflict resolution strategies, best practices for respect and more.
  3. Peer Coaching & Discussion Groups – Employees engage in structured or self-organized discussions to share experiences, success stories, and best practices for psychological safety in daily interactions.
  4. Ongoing Support & Engagement – This program is integrated with WPO’s EAP services to ensure employees have the mental health support they need for any situation. We also conduct pulse surveys measure improvements in workplace psychological safety and employee confidence.
